ELBADOC is the nearest camping village to the mainland on the island of Elba and it’s easily reached by ferry in 30 minutes or by fast hydrofoil in 20 minutes (only foot passengers and bicycles) FROM CAVO (0,950 km) Leaving … the ferry dock, turn left towards Rio Marina; at the end of Cavo village (about 500m from the harbour) turn right and follow the small country road for 200 meters following directions to ELBADOC. Remember to keep to the left! FROM RIO MARINA (7 km) From the harbour, turn right towards Cavo. Upon entering Cavo (when you see the start of the village sign), turn left, and follow the small country road for 200 meters following directions to ELBADOC. Remember to keep to the left! FROM PORTOFERRAIO (25 km) Go towards Porto Azzurro Provincial road 26 (sp 26), turn left towards Rio Marina Provincial road 26 (sp 26), then follow as above. AIRPORT LA PILA in MARINA DI CAMPO (35 km) There are flights from Pisa, Florence, Milan Linate and Lugano with handy international connecting flights from many European cities. No car? No problem! It is quite possible to go to Elba without a car. Take the foot passenger HYDROFOIL from Piombino, which will bring you to Cavo in only 20 minutes. To travel within Elba, you can rent electric bikes, use the free shuttle bus linking Cavo with the other Eastern beaches or you can get cars and scooters (including electric ones) for hire delivered at the campsite!
